Life After Russian Roulette Redemption
Immersed in an underworld of drug groups, organized crime associations, and police corruption, Kaminski became addicted to “the game” as he wrestled mentally, psychologically, and emotionally with illegal, unethical, and immoral choices and decisions. The lines of right and wrong, good and bad began to blur before his eyes as he justified the end goal. Living under three fictitious identities for almost five years, Kaminski’s conscience created a moral downslide that inevitably led to depression, suicidal thoughts, and mentally destructive behaviors as he numbed his true feelings and loss of personal identity with increased addiction to alcohol. After resigning from the police department with three contracts out on his life, and after two failed attempts to kill him, Kaminski went to work as a licensed private investigator for the criminal lawyers that he worked against when he was undercover. Eventually, a near-fatal accident almost ended his life. High on morphine in an unknown hospital, Kaminski would make a commitment to God for saving his life again. After entering a seminary and receiving ordination, Kaminski struggled with his faith. Finally, he would find what he had been searching for all his life.
At first glance, you might think you know how police and undercover detectives work. But you could be dead wrong. How an individual enforces the law, many times, is reduced to personal decisions. Hidden within the plot of this story is a series of inner conflicts that many people in law enforcement make in the line of duty.
Dark Soul
SHARON'S LIGHT
“SHARON’S LIGHT” is my way of healing from the loss.
Sharon, in her own way, taught me a powerful lesson.
She gave me a new meaning and purpose in life.
Sharon changed my dark soul into a bright light.
She taught me how to feel again.
She taught me how to love.
The Miracle of Room 405
A Time to Be Born, a Time to Live, a Time to Die
A Living Legacy
“A Time to be BORN,
A Time to LIVE,
A Time to DIE”
(A Living Legacy)
“WE ALL DIE……
The goal is not to live forever, but to leave behind
something that will.”
(Chuck Palahniuk, author)
LIFE is like an “unfinished symphony” with four movements or
the seasons of a year:
SPRING (Birth, Childhood)
SUMMER (Youth, Young Adulthood)
FALL (Middle Age)
WINTER (Old Age, End of Life)
A TIME TO BE BORN, A TIME TO LIVE, AND A TIME TO DIE
is my story, my legacy.
What is important to you in your life?
What do you want to be remembered for doing, achieving. or
accomplishing after your life comes to an end?
What will be your story?
What will be your legacy after your “expiration date” comes due
and your “shelf life” has expired?
I did not think about my legacy until after 1 returned to this life
after my death of living in a coma.
Then, I experienced a new life, a second life, a “Rebirth”, a new
“Springtime”.
The Lifelong Journey Of A
Temporary Sojourner
I believe that each person is a sojourner in this life. Each one of us is on a journey. Some people may walk only a short distance along the way. However, for everyone, this world is not our final destination. It is only a temporary stay. After all, no one gets out of this world alive. A Sojourner is defined as a person who resides temporarily in a land that is not their own”. As I reflect on my journey, I believe that I have walked two paths in this lifetime, the wrong path and the right path. I have walked the path toward darkness before my coma and, then, the path toward a brighter life after envisioning Eternity when God returned me to this lifetime.
See, along my path before my coma, I had many temporary stays in life. I had 22 professions, including that of a graphic arts illustrator, an undercover police detective in drug organizations, and organized crime. Ordained minister, magazine publisher, and published author. When God returned me to this life, following my coma, everyone thought that my life was a miracle. No one expected me to live. After experiencing Eternity by God, I realized that I needed to find Forgiveness, Redemption, and Salvation in my life in preparation for Eternal life.
I believe that most people have had to live through the dark nights of their lives, when their lives were full of struggles, worries, and remorse for past actions, decisions, and mistakes. The times when they felt the deep tragedies of their lives. If you are one of those people, hopefully, the dark nights have passed, and you can see the brightness of a new day. This is my story. However, it could be a reflection of your story. God allowed me to be “Reborn” in my coma. Without a year and a half spent in a coma, I could have never realized my “Rebirth”, a new life, and a brighter future in my journey as a temporary sojourner.
